On Saturday, 24th of February took part a charity event in Meze Bar 102. The event was organized by Furkan Kalit, Turkish volunteer in SFERA Macedonia and consisted on an eating contest, in which the five participants had to eat hot dogs as fast as they could. Before the contest, the participants had time to prepare their own hot dogs (six for each participant) with ketchup and/or mayonnaise.
The contest started with everyone trying to eat quickly, but two participants were being faster than the others, with some participants showing some difficulties dealing with their hot dogs. Nikola and Furkan finished their 4th hot dog almost at the same time, but only Nikola could afford to continue and ate the two last hot dogs, winning the contest. Furkan finished in second place, but the best of the contest was the cooperation between the participants, with everyone trying to win, but helping each other, giving water and sauce, as well as the money fundraised.
At the end of the contest, there was a side event, in which SFERA’s collaborators tried to eat the fastest hot dog. The food that wasn’t used was delivered to people in need and the money fundraised will be delivered to a Bitola’s family.
