From 5 to 15 January together with Aleksandra Ilievska and Aleksandar Stevanovski, as select participants, we participated in the training course “ImproAction 2.0” held in Berlin, Germany. At the beginning of the course, we have introduced to the term “Impro” as well as the methods of improvisation and drama that are used in working with young people. The whole training course was filled with interesting activities through which we were able to get to know more about improvisation through a variety of exercises and team building activities.

For us, this was a particular challenge because none of us has any particular talent for improvisation and acting. But thanks to the trainers who were real professionals, we managed to fit into the activities and understand the essence of the training.

For a particularly useful one, I consider the group work where we were divided into groups themselves, we should create Workshop, and then be evaluated by the coaches, as well as from the other participants, to improve the positives and to realize and repair the mistakes. In addition to the workshops during the training in Berlin, we have the task to prepare two more workshops in Macedonia through which we will introduce other young people with the Erasmus plus program and all the opportunities that it offers, for which many young people are not informed.

We enjoyed international dinners where we presented Macedonia with ajvar and rakija. Later we had the chance to taste typical dishes from different countries across Europe that were prepared by other participants of the course (Spain, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Romania, and Croatia). It was interesting that intercultural evenings were organized in an unusual way, where participants from other countries were charged with drama, improvisation, and sarcasm to represent other countries.

Despite the short resting time and hard workshops, we are happy that we had the chance to meet a wide range of people from all over Europe, to make new friends, to get to know each other more closely, exchange experiences and feel the spirit of Berlin.
